How many bedrooms are there and what is the max number it will accommodate? 2 bedrooms – 1 double and 1 twin. 4 people max (3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children).
Are there shops nearby. Yes – almost all your food shopping needs can be met within walking distance
How long does it take to get to Edinburgh? The train takes 20-30 minutes
Do I need my own car? No, much of the locality is reachable by bus or train
Is there parking? On street parking is restricted in the day 10-4. Parking is available opposite and nearby, and currently is free and easy.
What is NOT included in the price? Beach / pool towels, bike hire, surf hire, 24/7 heating, butler services are not included.
Is the flat next to the beach/sea or have direct access to the sea? No. It is a few minutes walk via the public road or footpath – around 300m away
Is the garden available to use? Yes, there is a private garden shared only with the owners, which we encourage you to enjoy, however as it is mostly laid out formally no ball games.
Is there a widescreen TV and TVs in the bedrooms? No, just a small TV and a small selection of mostly grown up DVDs.
What about internet? Wifi over a 60Mbit connection is available for responsible use.
Is smoking allowed? No smoking inside or within the curtilage / boundary of the property, thank you. That means no smoking either at the front or back, including the garden, please.
What are the check-in and check-out times? 16:00 and 10:00.
Can I invite all my local friends to stay over? No. Only the named guests can stay overnight.
Is the property suitable for older guests? We’ve had a few octagenerians and a nonagenerian stay, but there are steps to negotiate so it may not be suitable for all ages and abilities, especially if unaccompanied
Is there a cot, spare bed? Yes, but always check with us if you have special requirements as the property is not really suitable for large families or large groups
I have a dog, cat, pet snake, alligator … sorry, no pets
I have special needs, will the flat be suitable? Possibly, many find it congenial for access to station and shops, but there are steps and it is a quirky old house that will not suit all tastes.
